Zack Snyder’s future directing DC Comics-based movies is undetermined at this point. His relationship with Warner Brothers has become one of the biggest stories in Hollywood over the past few years, mainly driven by fervent fans wanting more of Snyder’s vision on screen following the release of his four-hour cut of Justice League on HBO Max.
If Snyder is not brought back by DC, and he has not soured on the superhero genre, he may be interested in working with Marvel Studios, depending on the contract terms and what level of freedom he is allowed. According to an interview with Wired.com, Snyder stated “The Hulk has always been one of my favorites…” Before I heard about this, I was thinking….what character would be a good fit for Snyder’s particular artistic style? The Hulk! Second choice would have been Thor.
My feeling is the big hang-up would be Kevin Feige keeping Snyder on a tight leash, but maybe the opportunity to get his foot in the door would keep Zack on track.
